On January 9 the first CARE assessment team went to Kibera, one of the largest informal urban settlements in Africa and home to about 800,000 people, to evaluate damage of post election violence in Nairobi and identify the basic needs of those affected. What the CARE team found was a very different Kibera from what is normally considered a bustling and vibrant community. Please donate here
